IOLs

Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) Available at Our Sacramento Office

Intraocular lenses (IOLs) and implantable contacts (ICLs) are artificial lenses that can be implanted in the eye to improve vision for patients following cataract surgery or those with high corrections not treatable with LASIK or PRK. Until recently, most cataract patients had their vision improved with monofocal, or single distance, IOLs. Although the quality of their distant vision was excellent, the majority of patients needed reading or bifocal glasses to see near objects. Now, with multi-focal intraocular lenses, patients are able to be less dependent on glasses for reading and distant vision. Following cataract surgery you can choose either the ReSTOR® IOL or the ReZoom™ lens. If you don't have cataracts, but have a high correction, you may be a candidate for either the Verisyse™ or Visian implantable contact lenses.

Both are offered at our Sacramento practice. For more information about the ICLs Visian™ or Verisyse™, or to find out if you are a candidate for ReZoom™, or the ReSTOR® intraocular lens (IOL), contact Grutzmacher & Lewis in Sacramento today.
